Warehouse Operative
Reporting to: Warehouse Manager
Place of Work:
Unit 8, 12-16 Titan Drive, Peterborough, PE1 5XN (relocating to Kingston Park, Peterborough – date to be confirmed)
Purpose of Job:
To support the business with its picking, packing and dispatch operation as we continue our incredible journey. We are a rapidly growing business and you will be required to adapt easily to changes in processes / procedures as the business develops.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
- Receive goods at the loading/receiving dock by unloading 40ft and 20ft containers.
- Check loads for damaged or missing items upon receipt and follow the booking in procedure.
- Move and re-arrange stock, either by hand or with manual handling equipment / forklift truck to ensure good stock rotation.
- Keep careful records of everything that comes in and out of the warehouse.
- Housekeeping ensuring that products are stored and undamaged around the warehouse.
- Preparing orders for despatch accurately and safely, ensuring products are safely stacked on the pallet in the picking and packing process.
- Assist and manage the business and own health & Safety requirements
- Assist with stock take when required and complete stock checks if needed

Normal hours of work:
Monday-Friday 7:00am – 4:00pm, or 9:00am-6:00pm on a rotational basis with 2 x 15 minutes tea breaks and 30 minutes for lunch. There may be the requirement to work additional hours to suit the requirements of the business and occasional weekends.

Holiday entitlement:
In a full year the paid holiday entitlement is 20 days excluding public holidays. The business will be closed for set days over the Christmas period and employees will be given this period as additional holiday.
