We are looking for a skilled and reliable Curtain Sewing Machinist to join our friendly team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will have experience in curtain making and be confident operating industrial sewing machines while producing high-quality, made-to-measure soft furnishings.
Key Responsibilities
● Manufacture made-to-measure curtains to a high standard.
● Operate industrial sewing machines safely and efficiently.
● Measure, cut, pin, and sew a variety of curtain styles.
● Attach headings, linings, interlinings, and hems.
● Carry out quality checks to ensure excellent workmanship.
● Keep the work area clean, organised, and safe.
● Work independently while meeting production deadlines.
Requirements
● Previous experience in curtain making or soft furnishings is not essential.
● Confident using industrial sewing machines.
● Excellent attention to detail and pride in producing quality work.
● Ability to read measurements and follow specifications accurately.
● Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
● Positive attitude and willingness to be part of a small team.
