Overview
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Ground Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be involved in various landscaping, construction, and maintenance tasks, contributing to the upkeep and development of outdoor spaces. Duties
- Assisting with landscape maintenance, including planting, pruning, and lawn care
- Operating hand tools such as spades, rakes, and shovels to carry out groundwork tasks
- Using power tools and mechanical equipment like excavators for excavation and site preparation
- Installing and maintaining irrigation systems to ensure efficient water distribution
- Supporting construction activities by preparing sites and assisting with material movement
- Performing routine maintenance on equipment and tools to ensure safety and efficiency
- Assisting with general site clean-up and organisation to maintain a safe working environment
- Collaborating with team members on various projects to meet deadlines and quality standards
Qualifications
- Previous experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, or construction is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
- Mechanical knowledge or familiarity with power tools is a plus
- Ability to operate basic hand tools safely and effectively
- Experience with excavators or other heavy machinery is advantageous but not mandatory
- Knowledge of horticulture or gardening practices is beneficial
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Good physical fitness with the ability to lift heavy loads and perform manual labour for extended periods
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills and work as part of a team
