Stage Sound Services is a Cardiff-based company working at the heart of the live events and entertainment industry. We provide professional audio, lighting, staging, and technical production services to theatres, festivals, corporate events, touring productions, and major live shows across the UK.

The Role
To ensure the company's premises, facilities and external areas are clean, safe, well-maintained and presented to a high standard. The Facilities Assistant will undertake a range of general maintenance, cleaning and site support duties, helping to provide a safe and efficient working environment for employees, visitors and customers.
This role is part-time, we are flexible on working hours and days, up to 20 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out general maintenance, repairs, decorating and minor replacement of fixtures and fittings.
- Inspect the warehouse and grounds, reporting defects, hazards and maintenance requirements.
- Keep the site, including entrances, pathways, parking areas and external spaces, clean, tidy and presentable.
- Complete routine health and safety checks and report any issues promptly.
- Safely maintain and store tools, equipment and cleaning materials.
- Respond to day-to-day maintenance requests and provide general facilities support.
- Assist with contractor access and monitor work on site, ensuring safe working practices are followed.
- Carry out general cleaning duties in line with agreed schedules.
- Maintain external areas, including litter picking, clearing drains and gullies, and assisting with snow and ice clearance when required.
About You
Essential Requirements:
- Previous experience in a maintenance, facilities or similar role.
- Good practical skills and able to carry out basic repairs.
- Able to work independently and manage your own workload.
- Reliable, organised and takes pride in maintaining high standards.
- Good awareness of health and safety.
- Able to carry out manual handling and outdoor maintenance duties.
- Flexible, proactive and willing to turn your hand to a variety of tasks.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
