Old Buckenham Hall School, Suffolk is seeking two professional Gardeners to join our knowledgeable and motivated Estates Team. If you have experience in horticulture and take pride in maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces to the highest standards, we would love to hear from you.
About the Role
Reporting to the Estates Manager, you will help maintain and develop the School’s prestigious gardens and grounds. The gardens are an integral part of the School Estate, enhancing teaching and residential areas, driveways, car parks, and outdoor amenity spaces enjoyed by staff, pupils, visitors, and guests.
The gardens play an important role in supporting the School’s reputation, creating an attractive environment for the whole community, prospective families, and a wide range of events and functions.
Key Requirements
The successful candidate will have:
- Proven professional gardening experience
- A good knowledge of plants and horticultural practices
- RHS Level 2 qualification (or equivalent)
- A full UK driving licence
- Experience using horticultural machinery and equipment
- An understanding of safe manual handling techniques
- The ability to work outdoors throughout the year in all weather conditions
Positions Available
We are recruiting for two permanent, year-round positions:
Full-Time Gardener
- 37.5 hours per week
- 5 days per week
Part-Time Gardener
- 22.5 hours per week
- 3 days per week
This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive Estates Team and contribute to the continued presentation and development of a beautiful School environment.
