Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve food items according to established recipes and standards
- Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately
- Serve food and beverages in a professional and courteous manner
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene at all times
- Assist with organising the dining area to ensure cleanliness and comfort for guests
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including basic maths calculations for bills and change
- Upsell menu items to maximise sales opportunities while providing excellent customer service
- Support kitchen staff with food preparation as needed
- Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during busy periods
- Follow all health and safety regulations diligently
Requirements
- Experience in food preparation or restaurant service is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Good organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
- Prior kitchen or culinary experience is advantageous but not mandatory
- Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanour
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work during peak hours, including evenings and weekends if required
