Care Supervisors – Aspiring Registered Managers
Position Summary
The Care Supervisors will support the leadership, management, and delivery of high-quality homecare services in line with the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014, CQC standards, and best practice guidance. We have multiple roles which are designed as a development pathway to Registered Manager status within 12 months, with structured training and mentorship provided.
Key Responsibilities
● Leadership & Compliance
○ Support the safe and effective delivery of regulated homecare activities.
○ Assist with compliance monitoring and record-keeping for CQC requirements.
○ Shadow the Registered Manager to gain experience in regulatory responsibilities.
● Care Quality & Service Delivery
○ Ensure care plans are person-centred and regularly reviewed.
○ Monitor service quality through spot checks, audits, and feedback.
○ Support safeguarding, complaints handling, and incident investigations.
● Staff Management & Development
○ Supervise care staff, providing guidance and support.
○ Assist with recruitment, induction, and training.
○ Foster a positive, supportive team culture.
● Risk & Incident Management
○ Contribute to the management of complaints, safeguarding concerns, and medication error investigations.
○ Learn to implement corrective actions and embed lessons learned.
● Stakeholder Engagement
○ Build relationships with service users, families, and professionals.
○ Promote the service within the community.
Essential Qualifications & Training
○ Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
○ Commitment to achieving Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Adult Care within 12 months.
○ Enhanced DBS check.
Essential Skills & Competencies
○ Strong organisational and supervisory skills.
○ Knowledge of safeguarding legislation and CQC standards.
○ Ability to manage day-to-day care operations with professionalism.
○ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Willingness to learn and take on increasing responsibility.
Essential Experience
○ Proven experience supervising care staff or coordinating homecare services.
○ Exposure to handling complaints, safeguarding concerns, or care planning.
○ Recent experience in a regulated care or homecare setting (preferred).
