We are seeking a dedicated Practice Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care within a busy clinical environment, supporting general practitioners and other healthcare professionals. The Practice Nurse will be responsible for delivering comprehensive nursing services, ensuring patient comfort and safety at all times.
Responsibilities
- Delivering direct patient care, including wound management, injections, and health assessments
- Assisting with chronic disease management programmes and health promotion activities
- Conducting health checks and screening procedures in accordance with practice protocols
- Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with data protection regulations
- Supporting the administration of vaccinations and immunisations
- Providing health education and advice to patients on various health issues
- Collaborating with the wider healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care delivery
- Ensuring infection control procedures are strictly followed within the practice environment
Experience
- Proven experience working as a Practice Nurse or in a similar primary care setting
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to general practice nursing
- Demonstrable experience in patient care, including clinical assessments and treatment procedures
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Compassionate approach with strong communication skills, capable of building rapport with diverse patient groups
- Relevant nursing qualification recognised within the UK healthcare system
