Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Primary School Cleaner to join our educational team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the smooth running of the school by ensuring high standards of cleanliness are upheld throughout the premises. Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial work is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily cleaning duties across all areas of the school, including classrooms, hallways, toilets, and communal spaces
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust surfaces to maintain a hygienic environment
- Disinfect high-touch surfaces regularly to promote health and safety standards
- Restock cleaning supplies and toiletries as needed
- Report any maintenance issues or hazards to the appropriate personnel
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times during cleaning activities
- Ensure cleaning equipment is used safely and stored correctly after use
Requirements
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial work is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Reliable and punctual with a professional attitude
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to cleaning procedures is advantageous

Pay: £12.21 per hour
