Procurement & Operations Systems Coordinator.

Working Pattern: Four-day week (Monday–Thursday), 7:00am–5:30pm, permanent, full-time office based
About the Role Hamptons has been designing and manufacturing bespoke timber orangeries, conservatories, windows and luxury greenhouses for over 45 years, built on craftsmanship, engineering excellence and exceptional customer service. We are a Lean manufacturing company, embracing AI and digital systems to build the next generation of Hampton.
This is far more than a purchasing role. You’ll ensure our factory has the right materials, at the right time, from the right suppliers — while helping develop and improve the business systems that keep Hamptons running efficiently. You’ll work across procurement, planning, stock control, production systems and continuous improvement as a key member of our operations team.
You don’t need AI experience. You need curiosity, and a willingness to learn how AI and digital tools can make Hampton’s systems better — we’ll support and train you in that.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage purchasing of production materials and consumables
- Build strong supplier relationships and negotiate best value
- Maintain stock accuracy and Kanban replenishment systems
- Ensure materials are available to meet production schedules
- Raise and manage purchase orders using Sage
- Maintain accurate product and production data within Calwin
- Coordinate production schedules through Teamwork
- Support ShopFloorLive and shop-floor information accuracy
- Help us explore how AI and digital tools can improve business processes — training and support provided
- Identify waste and implement process improvements
- Produce operational reports and performance data
- Work closely with Design, Production, Sales and Installation to keep projects flowing efficiently
About You You’re organised, commercially aware, and naturally curious about improving the way things work. You enjoy taking ownership, solving problems and working with systems — comfortable trying new software and excited to help shape the future of a growing manufacturing business.
Essential Requirements
- Experience in procurement, materials planning or manufacturing operations
- Strong organisational skills and commercial judgement
- Confident using business software and Microsoft Office
- A continuous improvement mindset
Desirable
- Experience with Sage, Calwin, or similar ERP/project systems (e.g. Teamwork, Monday.com) is a bonus, as is exposure to Lean manufacturing or curiosity about using AI to improve business processes
