Responsibilities
- Deliver patient-centered care by assisting residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
- Support residents with medication administration following prescribed protocols and ensuring safety standards are maintained.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements and assist with feeding when necessary.
- Engage residents in meaningful activities that promote mental stimulation, social interaction, and overall well-being.
- Monitor and report on residents’ health conditions, behavior management needs, and any changes in their physical or emotional state.
- Assist with light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for all residents.
- Drive or accompany residents on outings or appointments as needed, ensuring their safety and comfort during transportation.
Skills
- Proven experience in assisted living, nursing home care, or home care environments with a strong understanding of patient needs.
- Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, hospice support, and behavior management techniques.
- Ability to administer medication safely and perform basic first aid when required.
- Excellent caregiving skills with a compassionate approach to senior care and understanding of nursing principles.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting, assisting with mobility, and supporting residents’ physical needs.
Not mandatory (Desirable):
- Valid driver’s license for driving duties.
