This is a Level 3 Data Administration role - split 80/20 between employment with the employer, and learning & gaining qualifications with Solveway Apprenticeships!
You will split your time between working and earning with the employer while gaining valuable hands-on experience and industry-recognised qualifications.
We are looking for an organised, professional, and motivated individual to join a busy office team. This role would suit someone who enjoys administration, working with people, and keeping things organised in a fast-paced environment.
Your Department:
The Project Services Department provides comprehensive design and delivery solutions for all our server, storage, network, wireless and security projects ensuring they meet our education and commercial customers requirements. This includes project management, technical pre-sales, audit and scoping, producing design documentation, resource allocation, remote and on-site installation and configuration, user acceptance testing, project sign off and third line support services.
Success is achieved by building relationships with our clients and providing an outstanding level of service.
Key responsibilities:
Under the guidance of the Project Services team, the apprentice will:
- Assist with the coordination of multiple projects from initiation through to completion
- Support communication with internal teams, clients and third‑party suppliers to help ensure projects progress in line with agreed plans
- Help arrange and schedule resources in line with project requirements
- Support the on‑boarding of new clients by assisting with documentation and system setup
- Maintain project systems, records and documentation accurately
- Assist with the production of reports relating to project delivery and key performance indicators
- Carry out administrative and coordination tasks to support the effective delivery of projects
- Work towards developing the knowledge, skills and behaviours required for a Project Coordinator role
- Adhere to company, Health and Safety, Information, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures at all times
The apprentice will be provided with training, mentoring and regular feedback throughout the apprenticeship
Skills/ qualities:
Essential
- A strong interest in developing a career in project coordination or project services
- Good organisational skills and a willingness to learn
- Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Basic IT skills, with confidence using Microsoft Office applications
- Attention to detail and a positive attitude to learning
- Ability to work well as part of a team and follow instructions
- A flexible and reliable approach to work
- Be prepared to carry out other tasks outside of this role, if required, to support the business needs.
Desirable
- An interest in IT or technology (experience not required)
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths, or willingness to work towards them if required as part of the apprenticeship framework

Apprenticeship Details
Level 3 Data Technician Apprenticeship
Expected duration: 14 months plus 3 months EPA.
Training includes a blend of live online learning, eLearning, and practical workplace experience covering:
- CompTIA Data+
- Microsoft Excel
- Microsoft Power BI
- Data handling and reporting
- Communication and stakeholder management
- Business administration and project support
Biweekly live online training sessions (3 hours) alternating between Data+, Excel, and Power BI content.
