Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Welder/Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components with precision and attention to detail. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilise advanced welding techniques, and contribute to high-quality production processes. Applicants should possess strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency with hand and power tools, and experience in sheet metal fabrication. Responsibilities
- Perform TIG/MIG welding on various materials, ensuring adherence to technical specifications and safety standards
- Fabricate components using a range of hand tools, power tools, and specialised welding equipment
- Work with sheet/plate metal to cut, shape, and assemble parts according to drawings and specifications
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics for accurate fabrication and assembly
- Assist in the assembly of fabricated parts into finished products or structures
- Maintain a clean, organised workspace and ensure all safety protocols are followed during operations
- Conduct quality checks on completed work to ensure precision and compliance with project requirements
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining high standards of workmanship
Qualifications
- Proven experience in TIG/MIG welding and general fabrication within a manufacturing or workshop environment
- Strong knowledge of welding standards and techniques
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and sheet metal working equipment
- Good mechanical understanding coupled with the ability to read technical drawings accurately
- Basic maths skills for measurements, calculations, and blueprint interpretation
- Experience in assembly processes is desirable but not essential
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail, organisational skills, and commitment to safety are essential qualities for success in this role
