Job Summary
As a kitchen assistant you will be able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment working alongside the cooks and assisting them in the daily operations of the kitchen. You will help to prepare ingredients, complete cleaning tasks including washing utensils, pans, plates etc. Some experience of working in a kitchen is preferred but not essential, as full training and support will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation to present food that meets the specifications and customer expectations
- Assist with maintaining very high hygiene standards and safety regulations to ensure the safety of the entire team and visitors
- Communicate clearly and promptly with the team to provide high quality meals to customers on time
- Take instruction and direction from the Cook on shift and Managers
- Ensure you remain up to date with all food hygiene and safety
- Completing opening and closing procedures at the start or end of your shift, including but not exclusive to, cleaning tasks using correct products, checking equipment is safe to use.
- Assist with preparing ingredients for the next shift
- Rotating stock items as per procedures
- Ensuring correct storage of food items at the correct temperatures
Key Skills & Experience
Some experience of working in a kitchen environment is desirable but not essential as training will be provided along with on-going support. You will need to be an effective communicator and a team player and be motivated to support the wider pub team and yourself to succeed.

Pay: £10.85-£12.85 per hour
