We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic hospitality team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of our kitchen, ensuring a smooth operation that meets high standards of hygiene and efficiency. Duties
- Assist with food preparation
- Ensure all kitchen utensils, pots, pans, and equipment are cleaned and properly stored
- Maintain cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and storage areas in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Support the kitchen team during service periods by ensuring supplies are stocked and ready for use
- Dispose of waste responsibly and ensure recycling procedures are followed
- Help with organising deliveries and stock rotation as required
- Follow all hygiene standards diligently to uphold food safety regulations
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is advantageous but not essential
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations is desirable
- Familiarity with health and safety standards within a culinary setting is beneficial
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to learn new skills within the culinary and hospitality industry
- A positive attitude and good communication skills
