Your next opportunity
An excellent opportunity has arisen within our Technical Team for a 0.5FTE BioSciences Technician (3.7 hours daily Monday to Friday). Working in our state-of-the-art Science Complex, you will provide technical support to both under and post graduate students in our Formulation & Cosmetic sciences labs.
You will work independently as well as being part of a technical team to provide technical support to enable the Faculty and Technical Services to meet its objectives in a range of technical activities across the Faculty of Health Sciences and Wellbeing, including the Cosmetic and Pharmaceutical science labs, supporting all practical aspects of laboratory operations to students, staff and external agencies. You will ensure appropriate resources (materials, solutions and equipment) for student classes, student projects, research and external activity work are setup and available.
Is this you?
You will have the skills and knowledge of relevant techniques and equipment supporting academic delivery in sciences, with a primary focus on Pharmaceutical and Cosmetic Science. You will possess a degree (or equivalent) in a science related subject or have substantial experience and have a customer service focus, knowledge of relevant Health and Safety legislation, with the ability to carry out risk assessments.
