Thornton Manor is looking for a reliable, hardworking, and practical individual to join our team as a Groundsman / Handyman / Maintenance Person.
This is a varied, hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys working outdoors, and is confident carrying out general maintenance tasks to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Basic repairs and upkeep across buildings and outdoor areas
- Painting, minor carpentry, and general DIY tasks
- Supporting with setup and upkeep for events when required
- Ensuring the estate is kept clean, safe, and presentable at all times
- Identifying and reporting maintenance issues proactively
- General grounds maintenance (grass cutting, strimming, hedge trimming, leaf clearing)
About You
- Practical and hands-on with good all-round maintenance skills
- Previous experience in a similar role is desirable
- Able to work independently and manage your own workload
- Reliable, punctual, and takes pride in their work
- Flexible and willing to help where needed
- Full UK driving licence preferred
