Position: Café Supervisor
Location: Avenham Park, Preston, PR1 8JT
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Duration: 4+ Weeks (1+ Months)
Working Hours: 42 hours per week - This role is a 37 hour per week role on a rota basis
Pay Rate: PAYE: £13.05 Per hour
Job Responsibilities
- Support the Café Manager with the day-to-day running of the café
- Supervise front-of-house staff and allocate daily tasks
- Deliver excellent customer service and resolve customer queries
- Monitor staff performance and provide guidance when needed
- Ensure food hygiene, health and safety, and cleanliness standards are maintained
- Assist with opening and closing procedures
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately when required
- Help maintain stock levels and ensure the café runs smoothly during busy periods
Person Specification
- Previous experience as a Café Supervisor or in a similar supervisory role
- Experience supervising front-of-house staff
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to lead, motivate, and support a team
- Knowledge of food hygiene and health & safety standards
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage priorities
- Reliable, organised, and proactive
