The Role
As a Manufacturing Operative, you will play a key role in supporting production operations, ensuring products are manufactured efficiently, safely and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating machinery and production equipment safely and effectively.
- Loading and unloading materials using appropriate handling methods.
- Assisting with heavy processing and manufacturing operations.
- Carrying out quality inspections and reporting any defects.
- Following production schedules and work instructions.
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the production area.
- Adhering to all health and safety procedures and company policies.
- Recording production data and completing relevant documentation accurately.
- Working collaboratively with team members to achieve production targets.
Requirements
- Previous manufacturing, production, engineering, or industrial experience is desirable.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to follow instructions and work procedures accurately.
- Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious.
- Flexible approach to shift work where required.
- Forklift, overhead crane, or machine operating experience would be advantageous, but is not essential as training may be provided.
