Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our vibrant early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about working with children, providing a safe and nurturing environment that promotes learning and development. This role offers an opportunity to make a positive impact on young children's lives while developing your management and leadership skills within a supportive setting.
The successful candidate must have a SCQF Level 7 in social care or equivalent
Duties
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities that support children's developmental needs
- Supervise and care for children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Foster a warm, inclusive environment that encourages curiosity and learning
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily activities (CFE)
- Collaborate with colleagues to organise daily routines and special events
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns
- Support the implementation of nursery policies and procedures in line with regulatory standards
- Assist in the organisation of staff schedules and contribute to team meetings
- Use Famly app to keep parents upto date with their children's progress and achieve and what they get upto during their day in nursery.
Skills
- Proven experience in childcare or nursery settings, with strong knowledge of early childhood education principles
- Experience with CFE
- First Aid Training
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to liaise effectively with children, parents, and colleagues
- Genuine working with children passion, demonstrating patience, empathy, and creativity
- Ability to work as part of a team while also taking initiative independently
- Valid driving licence is desirable for transporting children or equipment when necessary
- Organised, reliable, with good time-management skills to handle multiple responsibilities effectively

Pay: £12.71-£13.50 per hour
