Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our culinary team in the role as a Cook. This position is for Saturday's, and cover when our main chefs are on holiday. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a vibrant kitchen environment, contributing to the preparation and presentation of high-quality meals. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in food preparation and a strong commitment to food safety standards. Must be capable and confident to work on your own.
Duties
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping, peeling, and assembling ingredients
- Cook and assemble dishes according to specified recipes and presentation standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations
- Ensure all ingredients and prepared foods are stored correctly and labelled appropriately
- Support the team during busy service periods, ensuring timely meal delivery
- Follow health and safety procedures diligently to uphold hygiene standards
- Assist with inventory checks and restocking supplies as needed
- Serve meals to customers in a courteous and professional manner when required
Experience
- Previous experience in food preparation or cooking is essential.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in kitchen hygiene
- Experience of working in a restaurant or catering environment
- Familiarity with meal preparation techniques and culinary processes
- Experience in serving customers or working front-of-house is a plus but not mandatory
- Enthusiasm for learning new skills within a dynamic culinary setting
Pay: £12.21-£18.70 per hour
