Aramark UK is looking to recruit a Kitchen Manager to join our team working at HMP Oakwood, Oaks Drive, Wolverhampton, WV10 7QD.
This is a full-time, permanent position and will be a 40-hour week, Monday to Friday.
The role will be to lead and manage all kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality, safety, hygiene, and cost control. The Kitchen Manager will oversee ordering, stock management, menu planning, compliance, and team performance, while maintaining a strong focus on client satisfaction and operational excellence.

A day in the life of a Kitchen Manager:

Oversee daily kitchen operations including food preparation, service, and cleanliness.

Ensure compliance with food safety, health and safety, and hygiene standards.

Conduct daily servery and kitchen inspections.
-
Manage overproduction and food waste effectively.
-
Compile and manage weekly food orders using Aratrade.
-
Monitor stock levels, portion control, and stock takes.
-
Ensure stock sheets align with planograms and are health-checked regularly.

Audit and monitor food usage and costs.
-
Use Aratrade for stock management, invoicing, and GRNIs.
-
Use Opex for stock sheets and non-stock item management.

Ensure accurate documentation and system updates.

Develop and maintain 4-week menu cycles.
You’ll be set up for success if you have:

Experience as a Head Chef or Kitchen Manager in a high-volume environment

Strong leadership and team management skills

Excellent organisational skills and high attention to detail

Effective communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels

Proficient in IT and numeracy, with experience managing rotas, payroll, and operational audits
