Duties
- Welcome guests warmly and manage reservations efficiently
- Take orders accurately and serve food and beverages in a timely manner
- Assist with food preparation and presentation as needed, maintaining food safety standards
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, including table settings and general environment
- Handle guest enquiries courteously and resolve any issues promptly
- Support kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks when required
- Manage cash register operations, including basic maths for billing purposes
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
- Collaborate with team members to deliver seamless service during busy periods
Requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is highly desirable
- Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation skills
- Strong guest service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanour
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
- Kitchen or culinary experience is advantageous but not essential
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt within a dynamic environment
- Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
