Are you passionate about cosmetics and personal care and enjoy practical, hands-on work? We’re looking for a motivated and detail oriented Laboratory Technician to support our chemists with sample preparation, testing, materials and laboratory administration.
This varied role is ideal for someone who is organised, accurate and keen to build their experience within the natural personal care industry, while gaining a strong understanding of how a busy product development laboratory operates.
Please note: This is a full time position, Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm. Due to the immediate requirements of the role, applicants must be available to commence employment within 8 weeks of accepting an offer.

As a Laboratory Technician, you will:
- Prepare lab samples and reports within agreed priority lead times
- Carry out formula stability checks to support the chemists
- Prepare lab samples for customers and PET testing
- Carry out product testing and application work as required by the team
- Attend supplier meetings to learn about new ingredients and industry trends, and record meeting notes
- Upload regulatory documentation to World Over
- Maintain accurate and up to date laboratory records
- Complete administration relating to new raw materials
- Carry out stock checks of materials and packaging
- Distribute samples to the Sales Team
- Maintain a clean, tidy and well organised laboratory
- Provide day to day laboratory and administrative support to the chemists and wider team
As a Laboratory Technician, you’ll bring:
- A high level of attention to detail and a methodical approach to work
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines
- A reliable and proactive approach, with a willingness to take responsibility
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
- Confidence with routine and administrative tasks, including maintaining accurate records
- A willingness to learn and develop your knowledge of laboratory processes and cosmetic ingredients
- The ability to follow procedures and instructions carefully, with a strong focus on quality and safety
- A practical, hands on approach and a positive attitude towards supporting the wider team
Experience in a similar laboratory or manufacturing environment would be beneficial but is not essential… We welcome motivated candidates who are eager to learn.
Schedule: Full time - Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm
Salary: £26,000 per annum depending on experience
