As a Reliability & Controls Engineer you’ll be the site subject matter expert for PLC and control systems playing a critical role in maintaining and improving the technology that underpins manufacturing performance.
You’ll be responsible for ensuring all control systems are reliable, supportable and future-proofed. This includes providing rapid breakdown support, owning PLC standards and backups and managing OT assets to minimise risk and downtime.
You’ll also drive continuous improvement across the site, using your expertise to optimise performance, enhance system capability and ensure robust control system design and compliance with safety standards.
The ideal candidate will be a time-served Controls or Electrical Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Siemens PLC systems (S7/TIA Portal) and a proven ability to fault-find in high-pressure breakdown situations.
You’re confident working across HMIs, drives and industrial networks and can interpret electrical schematics and control logic with ease.
With a proactive, problem-solving mindset, you’re comfortable coaching and upskilling others while influencing best practice across the site.
You bring strong communication skills, a focus on continuous improvement and an understanding of system ownership, asset management and risk mitigation.
Experience with PLC backups, OT environments or high-volume manufacturing would be advantageous, but most importantly you bring energy, ownership and a drive to improve performance every day.
