General Manager

We are seeking an experienced and commercially focused General Manager to lead and develop our four shop estate .This is a key leadership role ,responsible for driving the business performance ,developing our people and ensuring the continued success and growth of the estate.
The Role
Reporting to the Managing Director and Business Owner, you will take overall responsibility for daily operations, drive sales growth, and foster a positive team environment. Your leadership will ensure the delivery of outstanding customer service, effective merchandising, and efficient administrative processes. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide visionary leadership to all departments, inspiring teams to achieve operational excellence and sales targets
- Full understanding of EBITDA , net profit and financial performance
- Work closely with the Managing Director and Business Owner on stratergy and growth
- Oversee daily store / branch operations, ensuring smooth workflows and adherence to company policies
- Manage and supervise staff, including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and professional development
- Develop and implement strategic plans to increase revenue, improve customer satisfaction, and enhance overall business performance
- Coordinate merchandising efforts to optimize product displays and inventory management
- Maintain effective communication with staff, customers, vendors, and stakeholders to foster a collaborative environment
- Monitor financial performance through budgeting, sales analysis, and expense control measures
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and organisational standards at all times
- Monitor and understand KPIs, using data to identify opportunities and improve results
About you
You will be an experienced people and commercial leader with a proven track record of managing multiple sites or multiple unit operation,as well as:
- Proven management experience in retail or related sectors with strong supervisory skills
- Demonstrated leadership ability with a track record of team management and motivating staff toward shared goals
- Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate at all levels within the business
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in merchandising, sales management, and administrative functions within a retail setting
- Exceptional time management skills with attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities while maintaining a positive attitude

Pay: £34,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
