Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and versatile Site Worker to join our construction team. This role involves working on various projects, including carpentry, roofing, construction painting, plumbing, masonry, welding, and electrical tasks. Responsibilities
- Assist with a variety of construction tasks including carpentry, roofing, masonry, plumbing, welding, and electrical work
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to support project requirements
- Support fabrication activities on-site as needed
- Prepare work areas by cleaning and organising materials and equipment
- Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a secure working environment for all team members
- Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of structures or systems as directed by supervisors
- Collaborate effectively with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards
- Contribute to site organisation by managing materials and waste disposal responsibly
Qualifications
- Previous experience or training in one or more of the following trades: carpentry, roofing, construction painting, plumbing, masonry, welding or electrical work is desirable but not essential; willingness to learn is key
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely
- Basic understanding of fabrication processes is advantageous
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Good physical fitness with the ability to perform manual tasks for extended periods
- Commitment to health and safety regulations on site
- Valid UK driving licence is preferred but not mandatory
