Part-Time / Full-Time Financial Controller
Location: Chelsea, London, with weekly travel to our Yorkshire headquarters
Hours: Part-time or full-time – we would consider both.
Salary: £60,000 per annum (pro rata for part-time), dependent on experience

We are looking for an experienced, commercially minded Financial Controller to join our growing business. This is a senior leadership role, working closely with the CEO and senior management team to oversee the financial operations of a dynamic group of companies operating within the luxury automotive and design sectors.
Based primarily at our Chelsea showroom, you will also travel to our Yorkshire headquarters approximately once a week to work alongside our operational teams.
We are open to appointing the right candidate on either a part-time or full-time basis. While we anticipate the role initially being around three days per week, we are happy to consider candidates seeking full-time employment as the role develops and the needs of the business evolve.
The Role
As Financial Controller, you will take ownership of the finance function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, robust controls and commercially focused financial management across the group.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing the day-to-day finance function across multiple group companies.
- Preparing monthly management accounts and financial reports.
- Managing cash flow forecasting and working capital.
- Producing budgets, forecasts and financial analysis.
- Overseeing VAT returns, payroll and statutory compliance.
- Managing the year-end process and liaising with external accountants and auditors.
- Maintaining and improving financial controls and reporting systems.
- Providing commercial insight and financial support to the CEO and senior leadership team.
- Supporting strategic business decisions, investments and future growth initiatives.
About You
We're looking for someone who is both technically strong and commercially aware.
You'll ideally have:
- ACA qualification.
- A minimum of five years' experience as a Financial Controller, Finance Manager or Senior Management Accountant.
- Experience working within owner-managed or entrepreneurial businesses.
- Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards, VAT and statutory reporting.
- Excellent Excel and financial systems skills.
- Experience producing high-quality management information for senior leadership.
- Strong organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- A proactive, hands-on approach with the confidence to challenge and improve existing processes.

Location
This role is based in Bradford, with travel to our London showroom occasionally. A full UK driving licence would be advantageous.
