At Bridgend County Borough Council, we have transformed the way we manage our property estate. We manage a diverse property portfolio, from schools to industrial estates from care homes to market stalls. We’ve changed to a Corporate Landlord approach bringing together the different management teams that lead our property, design, maintenance and hard and soft Facilities Management teams under one service department, which brings great variety in the work we undertake and underpins the successful operation of the Council’s estate.
Our Internal Maintenance Division is currently looking for a Carpenter to join the team in providing a wide-ranging service across the Council’s property portfolio. The successful candidate will undertake installation and repairs of existing facilities. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the work the team undertakes to ensure all of our assets are fit for purpose and fully operational. We are looking for an enthusiastic team player who is confident working independently when required to do so.
Working to a Supervisor within a small carpentry team, responsible for undertaking works in accordance with current Health & Safety regulations/ procedures, you will ensure that the services remain compliant and safe.
So, if you think you fit the bill and looking for a job with variety and purpose, please contact us to tell us what you can do.
