PhotoDecor / UPG24 is a successful and growing family-run retailer specialising in used and refurbished cameras, lenses and photographic equipment.
Due to continued growth, we’re looking for a reliable and enthusiastic person to join our friendly team. This is a varied, hands-on role supporting the everyday operation of our online business.
Flexible working hours
We can offer either:
- Full working days, approximately 9:00am–5:00pm; or
- School-friendly hours, approximately 9:30am–2:30pm
Our key working days are:
- Monday
- Wednesday
- Thursday
- Friday
- Saturday
Regular Saturday availability is essential.
We’re happy to discuss the most suitable working pattern with the right person. The position could suit someone looking for school-friendly hours, someone wanting a fuller working week, or an applicant returning to the workplace. Please note Saturday will be a key working day.
What you’ll be doing
The role will include:
- Picking customer orders accurately
- Helping to pack equipment safely and securely
- Opening and documenting incoming stock
- Cleaning and preparing cameras and lenses
- Assisting with product photography
- Helping prepare items for online listing
- Keeping stock and working areas organised
- Supporting other members of the team during busy periods
No two days are exactly the same. Flexibility and a willingness to help wherever the workload is greatest are important.
What we’re looking for
You don’t need to be a camera expert—we can teach the product knowledge and processes.
We’re primarily looking for someone who:
- Is dependable and punctual
- Works carefully and accurately
- Is comfortable using a computer
- Can follow instructions and established processes
- Takes pride in doing a job properly
- Is organised and notices small details
- Is happy working both independently and as part of a team
- Is willing to learn new skills
- Can adapt between different tasks during the day
- Is regularly available on Saturdays
An interest in photography, cameras, online retail, warehouse work or product photography would be helpful, but it isn’t essential.
Some of our products are valuable and delicate, so care, honesty and attention to detail are more important to us than having the perfect CV.
