Responsibilities
- Set up and operate lithographic and digital printing machinery to produce various printed products.
- Prepare print files, load materials, and adjust machine settings to ensure optimal output quality.
- Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting on printing equipment to minimise downtime.
- Monitor print runs for colour accuracy, registration, and overall quality, making adjustments as necessary.
- Perform finishing tasks such as cutting, folding, binding, or assembling printed materials.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and client specifications.
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge of printing machinery and related equipment.
- Knowledge of pre press and imposition software
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for fabrication or minor repairs.
- Warehouse experience is beneficial for understanding inventory management within the production environment.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling large or bulky materials.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on colour accuracy and print quality.
- Organised with excellent time management skills to meet tight deadlines.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
