Responsibilities
- Provide personalised care to clients, including assistance with mobility, personal hygiene, and daily routines
- Assist with meal preparation , ensuring nutritional needs are met
- Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being
- Manage behaviour effectively and compassionately, especially in cases of dementia or Alzheimer's care
- Support clients with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe and clean environment
- Respond promptly to emergencies or urgent needs using first aid skills when appropriate
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and family members
Requirements
- Experience in care settings is highly desirable
- Knowledge of dementia, Alzheimer's and senior care best practices
- Relevant skills such as caregiving, medication administration, behaviour management, and first aid certification
- Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team within a caring environment
- Flexibility to work shifts that may include mornings, afternoons, or evenings as needed
