Specialist Teaching Assistant (2:1 Support)
Location: Linton, Cambridgeshire
Salary: £18.00 per hour (£15.00 per hour during training)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am–3:45pm, Term Time Only
Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference?
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to provide 2:1 educational support to a bright young boy with cerebral palsy who is non-verbal and attends a specialist school.
The primary focus of this role is to support the pupil in accessing the curriculum, developing communication skills and promoting independence within the classroom. You will work alongside another Teaching Assistant to deliver high-quality educational support. While the role does include assisting with personal care, this is primarily an education-focused position.
Essential requirements
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant is essential.
- Experience supporting children with additional needs, SEND or complex needs is highly desirable.
- Confident adapting learning activities to meet individual needs.
- GCSE English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above) or equivalent.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
