The Requirements
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced After School Club Leader to join our team at a Primary School in Wembley.
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate individual who enjoys working with children and creating a fun, safe and engaging environment at the end of the school day. The successful candidate will lead our After School Club, delivering a variety of creative, active and educational activities that help children build confidence, develop friendships and enjoy their time beyond the classroom.
Please only apply if you are able to commute to Wembley and are available to work Monday to Friday during term time.
Working Hours:
- Monday: 2:00pm – 5:45pm
- Tuesday – Friday: 3:15pm – 5:45pm

We are looking for a confident, organised and enthusiastic individual with a genuine passion for working with primary-aged children.
Whether you have experience leading an after school club, working in wraparound care, a nursery, school, holiday camp or childcare setting, this role offers an excellent opportunity to make a positive difference in children's lives while delivering a high-quality after school provision.
The successful candidate will build positive relationships with pupils, parents and school staff while ensuring the club provides a safe, enjoyable and inclusive experience for every child.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience:
- Level 2 or Level 3 Qualification in Childcare, Playwork or a related field.
- Level 2 or Level 3 Sports Coaching Qualification.
- Teaching Assistant Qualification (desirable).
- Experience working with primary-aged children.
- Experience supporting children with a range of abilities, including SEND, is desirable.
- A passion for delivering engaging activities and creating a positive childcare environment.
Your Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the day-to-day running of the After School Club.
- Preparing and setting up the club before the children arrive.
- Planning and delivering fun, engaging and age-appropriate activities, including sports, games, arts and crafts and creative play.
- Creating a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment where every child feels valued and supported.
- Supervising children throughout the session while ensuring safeguarding procedures and staff ratios are maintained at all times.
- Providing healthy snacks and ensuring children's wellbeing is prioritised.
- Encouraging positive behaviour, teamwork and independence.
- Building positive relationships with pupils, parents, school staff and colleagues.
- Maintaining accurate registers and ensuring children are safely collected by authorised adults.
- Packing away equipment and leaving the club area clean, organised and ready for the next school day.
- Representing Sport and Health Academy and maintaining the highest standards of professionalism at all times.
