Arrow Group Global are seeking a Warehouse and Logistics Team Leader for our Distribution Hub in Alfreton.
Purpose of Role
To oversee the receipt, storage, dispatch and installation of goods in a safe and efficient manner.
To contribute to achievement of OTIF target by carrying out the role to required standards.
This role is responsible for a vital part of the supply chain process, managing people, processes and systems and ensuring maintenance of health and safety standards within the warehouse and yard areas.
Duties and Responsibilities
- To have an extensive knowledge of the company, its aims, objectives and its strategic direction.
- To liaise with stakeholders including customers, suppliers, transport companies and colleagues.
- To oversee timely receipt and booking in of goods, including checking for discrepancies and damages. Goods to be booked in and put away correctly within 24 hours of receipt.
- To oversee smart and efficient use of available storage space, including location of fastest moving goods in the most accessible locations, and planning for future capacity requirements.
- To keep the warehouse and yard in good order, including clear aisles at all times.
- To oversee accurate and timely picking and checking of sales orders, to achieve ‘on time in full’ (OTIF) dispatch.
- To ensure accuracy of the stock records/locations by correct following of systems and processes, regular stock checking, and conducting a full stocktake at least annually.
- To plan and organise delivery schedules and methods to achieve maximum efficiency and reliability.
- To oversee adherence to H&S standards within the warehouse and yard areas, challenge bad practice and report concerns.
- To contribute to the recruitment process for new staff and ensure provision of training as required.
- Monitor staff performance and progress, including carrying out monthly one-to-one meetings and annual appraisals, and make recommendations for improvements and corrective actions.
- To organise and motivate the warehouse team to ensure KPIs are met or exceeded. To impart the company culture and values to the team.
- To oversee the planned maintenance of HGV, forklifts and vans, machinery and equipment.
- To oversee and maintain records on the warehouse ERP system including all processes involved with picking, booking in, despatch and works orders for our own manufactured products.

Essential Qualifications
Full UK driving licence.
Essential Experience
Experience of leading a warehouse and logistics team, with a track record of meeting performance standards.
Forklift truck experience, with a current licence.
