Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care, with experience in clinical settings such as ICU. This role involves providing expert medication management, ensuring safe and effective treatment for patients, and collaborating closely with healthcare professionals. Duties
- Dispense prescribed medications accurately and efficiently, adhering to legal and safety standards
- Provide comprehensive patient care by offering advice on medication usage, potential side effects, and interactions
- Monitor patient responses to medication therapy and adjust treatments in collaboration with medical staff
- Maintain meticulous records of prescriptions and patient information in accordance with regulatory requirements
- Assist in developing and reviewing medication protocols and procedures
- Educate patients on health management strategies related to their medication plans
- Ensure the pharmacy environment complies with health and safety regulations at all times
Skills
- Proven experience in ICU or critical care settings is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy and pharmacology principles
- Excellent patient care skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically
- Proficiency in medication administration procedures and safety protocols
- Organised with meticulous attention to detail for record keeping and compliance purposes
