Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Class 2 Truck Driver from age 30yrs with 2 years minimum driving experiece (insurance requirement) to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods using a 18t Curtainside lorry. This role requires a commitment to delivering exceptional service while adhering to all safetyregulations and company policies.
Duties
- Operate a 18t truck to transport goods to various locations.
- Ensure the safe loading and unloading of cargo, securing loads appropriately.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working order.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any customer inquiries or concerns.
Requirements
- Tramping at least 2 days per week
- Valid commercial hgv class 2 driving licence
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for driving.
- Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks and troubleshoot minor issues.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- A commitment to maintaining a high standard of safety and professionalism on the road.
