Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Van Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to perform heavy lifting as necessary.
Duties
- Operate a van to deliver goods to various locations, ensuring timely arrival.
- Load and unload items, performing heavy lifting as required.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers.
- Follow designated routes while being adaptable to changes in delivery schedules.
- Ensure the van is kept clean and well-maintained at all times.
- Assist in warehouse duties when not on delivery, including inventory management and organisation.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Van Driver or Delivery Driver is preferred.
- Valid driving licence with a clean driving record; commercial driving experience is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with loading and unloading goods.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and customers.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations is a plus.
- A proactive attitude towards safety and compliance with traffic laws.
