We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child Residential Care Worker to join our team. Duties
- Provide day-to-day care and support to children and young people in accordance with individual care plans
- Assist with personal care routines, including hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation
- Support children in engaging with educational activities, leisure pursuits, and social interactions
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities, behaviours, and progress in line with organisational policies
- Facilitate communication between children, families, and external professionals to ensure cohesive support
- Drive children safely to appointments, activities, or outings as required
- Contribute to the development and review of personalised care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all residents at all times by adhering to health and safety guidelines
Qualifications
- Experience working with children or in childcare settings is desirable
- Valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation needs
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, colleagues, and external agencies
- Knowledge of child development principles and safeguarding procedures
- IT literacy for maintaining accurate records and completing reports efficiently
- Compassionate attitude with the ability to remain calm under pressure
- Organised approach to managing daily routines and documentation
