The Role
No two days are the same.
You'll be working on a wide range of motorcycles, from road bikes and adventure bikes through to enduro, motocross and high-performance machines.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Motorcycle riding and road testing to diagnose faults, verify repairs and ensure motorcycles are operating correctly before customer handover
- Motorcycle servicing and maintenance
- Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDIs)
- Vehicle Health Checks (VHCs)
- Warranty repairs
- Diagnostic and fault-finding work
- Motorcycle modifications and accessory fitting
- Preparing new motorcycles for customer handover
- Maintaining workshop standards and documentation
- Working closely with the service and sales teams to deliver an exceptional customer experience
- Occasional motorcycle cleaning and preparation to ensure customer and showroom motorcycles are presented to the highest standard
- Occasional collection and delivery duties using company vehicles, including delivering motorcycles to customers, transporting motorcycles for MOT testing, and collecting motorcycles from suppliers or customers when required
This is a hands-on role for someone who genuinely enjoys working on motorcycles and takes pride in producing quality work. As part of a small and passionate team, you'll be expected to assist with a variety of tasks across the dealership when required, helping to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the business.
Essential
- Full UK motorcycle licence
- Previous experience as a motorcycle technician, mechanic or vehicle technician
- Passion for motorcycles and the motorcycle lifestyle
- Strong attention to detail
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Eligibility to work in the UK
Desirable
- Full UK car driving licence
- Experience within a franchised motorcycle dealership
- Manufacturer training or qualifications
- Experience using motorcycle diagnostic equipment
