Marlborough College seeks to appoint a new Director of Development to lead and build capacity within the organisation’s Development team. The postholder will play a key role in delivering the Master’s ambition to achieve 20% full and partial bursary student places and help ensure the College continues to provide the quality and range of facilities needed for a holistic education of excellence and opportunity for its pupils.
This is a unique opportunity to redefine the College’s fundraising strategy, drawing on the support and expertise of Marlborough’s extensive, global network of over 10,000 past and present pupils and their families, its Council (Board of Governors), Foundation and other governance committees.

Marlborough College is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Applicants will be required to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the College is therefore permitted to ask job applicants to declare all convictions and cautions (including those which are "spent" unless they are "protected" under the DBS filtering rules) in order to assess their suitability to work with children."
