Job Summary
With our recent move into new premises and a rapidly growing order book, we are looking for enthusiastic and driven individuals to join our team. This is a key opportunity to become part of a forward-thinking company that is expanding year on year and investing heavily in new technology, improved facilities, and the development of its people.
As a Trainee or Skilled Vehicle Builder, you will play an essential role in producing high-quality, bespoke vehicle conversions. Our work is varied and fast-paced, offering the chance to learn and develop a wide range of practical skills. Every project is different, and you’ll be involved in building specialist vehicles such as:
- Mobile office and medical units
- Dog transport vehicles and secure vans
- Emergency service conversions
- Commercial-sector fit-outs and racking systems
What the Role Involves
This is a hands-on workshop role that combines multiple trades. Depending on experience, your work may include:
- Carpentry & cabinet making: constructing units, bulkheads, flooring, paneling, and storage systems
- Electrical fitting: installing lighting, wiring looms, control panels, and equipment to specification
- Fabrication & mechanical skills: fitting brackets, mounts, metalwork, and custom components
- Trimming & upholstery: lining, finishing, insulation, flooring, and interior presentation
- General workshop duties: using hand tools, power tools, measuring equipment, and working to drawings
As you progress, your tool kit will naturally expand, and you’ll have the opportunity to gain broader experience across all areas of vehicle conversion. Skilled Vehicle Builders will be expected to work more independently and support others as the team continues to grow.

- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work to a high standard
