Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail oriented Commercial Cleaner for a temporary assignment lasting two weeks. This role involves maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards within commercial premises. The successful candidate will contribute to creating a safe, tidy, and welcoming environment for staff and visitors alike. Prior experience in janitorial or commercial cleaning is preferred, but full training will be provided. This position offers paid employment for the duration of the contract.
Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of designated commercial spaces, including offices, washrooms, and communal areas
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust surfaces to ensure high standards of cleanliness
- Disinfect surfaces and high-touch areas regularly to promote hygiene
- Empty bins and dispose of waste responsibly
- Restock cleaning supplies and toiletries as needed
- Follow health and safety guidelines diligently during all cleaning activities
- Report any maintenance issues or hazards identified during cleaning to management
Qualifications
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial work is advantageous but not essential
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Good organisational skills and reliability
- Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks, including standing for extended periods and lifting light equipment or supplies
- Flexibility to work the scheduled hours over the two-week period
