Job Title: Production Operative for Office Chairs/Soft Seating and Screens
Hours: 11-8pm

Job Description:
We are looking for a meticulous and experienced individual to join our production team and contribute to the manufacturing process of our office chairs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in production/manufacturing, preferably in upholstery or furniture manufacturing.
Responsibilities:
- Operate industrial sewing machines to stitch fabric, leather, or other materials used in the production of office chairs.
- Interpret and follow work orders, blueprints, and production schedules to ensure accurate completion of sewing tasks.
- Measure and cut materials according to specifications, ensuring precision and minimising waste.
- Inspect finished products for quality assurance, identifying and rectifying any defects or inconsistencies in sewing.
- Collaborate with other members of the production team to maintain workflow efficiency and meet production targets.
- Maintain and clean machinary regularly to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to promote a safe working environment.
Requirements:
- Proven experience within a production/manufacturing environment, preferably in upholstery or furniture manufacturing.
- Previous experience with sewing machines and/or CNC operating.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and production schedules.
- Attention to detail and precision in measuring, cutting and building
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and dexterity.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and endurance to perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced production environment.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and production demands.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and orderly work environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Vocational training or certification in sewing or upholstery.
- Experience working in a manufacturing or assembly line setting.
- Familiarity with different types of fabrics, leather, and other upholstery materials.
- Knowledge of ergonomic principles and design concepts related to office chairs.
