*GAS ENGINEERS ONLY*
We are seeking an experienced Gas Engineer who is looking to get off the tools, complete their Assessor qualification, and begin a rewarding career as a Gas Trainer/Assessor.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced gas industry professional with a passion for developing the next generation of engineers. Full support will be provided to gain your Assessor qualification, making this an ideal role for someone looking to transition from hands-on engineering into training.
The Role
- Deliver practical and classroom-based training to New Entrant Gas learners and ACS candidates.
- Conduct theory and practical assessments.
- Support learners throughout their training journey.
- Maintain a safe, professional, and structured learning environment.
- Share your industry knowledge and real-world experience to prepare candidates for work within the gas industry.
- Assist in maintaining high training and assessment standards.
Requirements
- Current and relevant ACS gas qualifications.
- Strong practical knowledge of domestic gas installations, servicing, and fault finding.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A genuine interest in teaching, mentoring, and developing others.
- Organised, professional, and reliable approach to work.
- Previous training, tutoring, or assessing experience is advantageous but not essential.
- Assessor qualification (A1, TAQA, CAVA, or equivalent) is preferred but not essential, as full support will be provided to achieve this.
What We Offer
- Self-employed position.
- £150 – £300 per day, depending on qualifications and experience.
- 3–6 days per week available.

- For this role, you must be a qualified domestic Gas Safe engineer with a minimum of 2 years’ industry experience. Do you meet this requirement
