Summary
We are seeking a Kitchen Porter to join our team at The Nut Tree. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of our kitchen and Back of House operations, contributing to the overall experience for our guests.
Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation and ensure all kitchen areas are clean and organised
- Ensure Back of House areas (cellars and back courtyards) are clean and tidy
- Check in and put away deliveries
- Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment efficiently
- Support chefs with basic cooking tasks as needed
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen floors, surfaces, and equipment
- Help with stock rotation and storage of food items
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times
Requirements
- Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential
- Strong work ethic with a willingness to learn
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Good communication skills to interact with kitchen staff
- Basic understanding of food hygiene practices
- Flexibilty around working weekend shifts and busy periods
