The Swansea Jack is a popular, community-driven venue in Swansea, offering great food, drinks, and live events in a welcoming atmosphere. We are looking for a talented Marketing Manager to help grow our brand, increase footfall, and strengthen our presence both online and within the local community.
The Role
As our Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for planning and executing marketing campaigns that drive awareness, engagement, and customer visits. This is a hands-on role suited to someone creative, organised, and passionate about hospitality and events.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver effective marketing strategies to increase brand visibility and revenue
- Manage social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, etc.), including content creation and daily engagement
- Plan and promote events, offers, and campaigns to drive customer traffic
- Create engaging digital and in-venue marketing materials
- Run email marketing campaigns and manage customer databases
- Build relationships with local businesses, influencers, and community groups
- Monitor campaign performance and provide regular reports with insights and recommendations
- Ensure consistent branding across all channels
- Manage marketing budget and maximise ROI
Requirements
- Proven experience in a marketing role (hospitality or retail preferred)
- Strong knowledge of social media and digital marketing tools
- Excellent communication and copywriting skills
- Creative mindset with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
- Strong organisational and analytical skills
Desirable
- Experience promoting events or working in pubs/bars/restaurants
- Basic graphic design skills (Canva or Adobe tools)
- Knowledge of the Coventry area and local audience

Schedule:
- 8-hour shifts
- Flexibility required (including evenings/weekends for events)
Pay: £26,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
