Responsibilities
- Develop and implement transportation plans that align with company goals and customer requirements
- Coordinate with drivers, suppliers, and internal teams to schedule deliveries and pickups efficiently
- Monitor real-time transportation activities using IT systems to ensure timely deliveries and resolve issues promptly
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, delivery schedules, and transportation costs using Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Optimize routes for cost efficiency, safety, and compliance with regulations
- Manage driver schedules, vehicle maintenance logs, and compliance documentation
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding delivery statuses and resolve any service-related issues with professionalism
- Lead a team of logistics staff by providing guidance, support, and leadership to meet operational targets
Skills
- Strong management and leadership abilities to oversee transportation teams effectively
- Excellent driving skills with a valid license suitable for company vehicles (if applicable)
- Deep understanding of logistics, supply chain processes, and transportation regulations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite: Word, Excel, Outlook for reporting and communication purposes
- Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple schedules and priorities simultaneously
- Effective communication skills in English to liaise with team members, clients, and suppliers
- Computer literacy with familiarity in IT systems used for logistics planning and tracking
- Customer service orientation to handle inquiries professionally and resolve issues efficiently
