Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Handyman/woman to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a variety of equipment and facilities, ensuring smooth operations across our premises. This role requires a proactive approach, technical expertise, and excellent problem-solving skills to address maintenance issues efficiently. Duties
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery and building systems.
- Repair and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and plumbing issues using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams to diagnose faults accurately.
- Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for equipment management and troubleshooting.
- Perform welding tasks as required to repair or fabricate components.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory.
- Supervise junior staff or contractors during maintenance projects when necessary.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Assist with installation of new equipment or systems, ensuring proper setup and calibration.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing internal or external client requests promptly and professionally.
Requirements
- Proven experience in maintenance roles with strong mechanical knowledge.
- Electrical experience with the ability to read schematics and operate PLC systems.
- Skilled in welding techniques with relevant certifications preferred.
- Knowledge of industrial or building maintenance procedures.
- Supervising experience is desirable, demonstrating leadership capabilities.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Customer service orientation with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams accurately.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills with a proactive attitude towards maintenance challenges.
- Flexibility to respond to urgent repair needs outside regular working hours if required.
