Mathematics sits at the heart of that mission. We believe that strong foundations in mathematics and numeracy unlock opportunity, academic success and lifelong learning. We are now seeking an expert mathematics leader to drive subject-specific school improvement in our London region.
About the role
This role sits at the heart of our school support team. Working closely with our London schools, the Regional Mathematics Leader will build capacity and expertise to ensure excellent maths teaching, leadership and student outcomes across the region.
You will lead the implementation of our maths strategy across the schools, providing expert support and guidance to maths leaders and their teams. You will use your experience and leadership skills to drive improvements in standards and teaching in mathematics.
This role blends strategic development with practical hands-on support, which includes regular teaching and leadership work at the base school, Lift Aylward. You will be jointly accountable for subject performance and improvement with local maths leaders. This means working collaboratively with colleagues, giving advice and counsel and leading by example, including in promoting our shared values and mindsets. You will also have the opportunity to develop an area of national expertise to deliver impact across our network.
Reporting to the National Lead for Secondary Mathematics as part of an exciting new team of Regional Maths Leaders, you will work alongside Hannah Fahey, our Regional Education Director for London and South, Heads of Department, Principals and other school leaders. This is a highly influential role, combining vision, expertise and effective implementation to make a meaningful difference to thousands of children nationwide.
About you
You are an experienced and credible secondary mathematics leader with a strong track record of improving outcomes and teaching. You hold significant expertise in effective mathematics education. You are strategic, network-minded and passionate about ensuring excellence as standard.
